“The first album that I bought in my life I think was...well, it was very late in my life. I was very involved with sports when I was young, and so I really didn’t get seriously interested in music until I was 24 years old.

“I think the first album...well, I can’t remember what it was. Nobody has ever asked me this question before. I don’t really recall, but because he was so popular everywhere at that time, I think that maybe it might have been something by Elvis Presley. Nat King Cole was really my favorite singer, but I think that maybe the very first record I bought was by Elvis.”
