“Oh, no, no, no, no, no. I bought a gang of records at first because I got a record player for free from somebody. So I went down to a swap-meet kind of thing and bought things like ‘Scary Sounds’ and stuff.

“Actually, Green Day was among one of my first records because it was just available on vinyl, and I got all the Lookout Records 7-inches, too.

“But you know? I don’t think that I ever bought any new vinyl in my life. It was always more of what second-hand vinyl I could find.”
