“You know, I can’t remember the first record album that I actually bought, but I remember receiving a birthday present that was the double-album of Louis Armstrong at Carnegie Hall. And I remember getting some early Harry James records, too.

“But to this very day, I still don’t have a great record collection because my brother Gap was the one who really bought all the records, and there was no reason for me to get duplicates.”
