“My dad played guitar in a big band, and he has 1,000 78 RPM records, so I grew up listening to a lot of big band jazz. And some of that swingin’ lounge music, he had a lot of that, too. Also, Frankie -- a lot of Frank Sinatra -- and Billie Holiday.

“I remember buying Beatles records, of course, but before that? Hmmm, I can’t remember the very first record. I think it might have been... Oh, no, that’s really going to date me. Never mind.”
