“Yeah, it was the Rolling Stones’ ‘12 x 5,’ which was their second album, I believe. I was a kid in seventh grade or eighth grade, so I didn’t have a lot of money, but that was a record that I just had to have.

“That’s the music that I grew up with. I didn’t just listen to folk music. In fact, it was through the Stones that I discovered people like Howlin’ Wolf and through the Beatles, I discovered Buddy Holly.”
