“I remember playing 78s on the old wind-up gramophone when I was five or six years old I used to love that machine, and I still have it.

“Those old 78s were the first albums that I ever bought, and I especially remember one by the Flanagan Brothers, who were a group from New York playing music with banjo and fiddle and accordion and all that. They played great polkas and sang a few songs, too.”
