“I remember the first concert I saw -- Led Zeppelin -- because it had much more impact on me. I listened to the radio a lot, but I really couldn’t afford to buy a lot of records.

“But I do remember as a real little guy getting a Four Seasons album. I didn’t have that much money to buy albums, so I bought a lot of singles -- a lot of Motown stuff. And I was a huge Anglophile -- loved all the English bands like the Beatles and everyone else.”
