“I’m embarrassed to admit to the first album I bought, but I might tell you the second one. Actually, I remember the first three albums that I bought.

“The first one was … no, I can’t even say it.

“Well OK, it was the Electric Prunes. The second one was ‘High Tides and Green Grass’ by the Rolling Stones, and the third one was ‘Talking Book’ by Stevie Wonder. That first one is pretty embarrassing, but they did have a radio hit, though – ‘I Had Too Much to Dream Last Night.’

“I was pretty young, but it was an exciting time. I loved it. I remember the excitement of going out to get the new record, and just during the past couple of years, I started collecting vinyl again, as a matter of fact. I just love it. I still prefer the sound of vinyl.”
